All Bernhard employees complete an extensive safety program |
|
|
The financial strength and stability of Bernhard is well illustrated by the longstanding business relationships and exceptional status we maintain with our bonding company, our insurance company, and our bank. To insurers and bonding agents, we're known for our safe, responsible work habits. Building mechanics work with potentially dangerous equipment, requiring sound safety procedures and good personal judgment. All Bernhard employees complete a comprehensive safety program and keep current with OSHA requirements. Job supervisors are required to file weekly safety reports and conduct onsite safety meetings. Employees are properly trained to use equipment and perform specific tasks, and are supervised to avoid accidents that can result from rushing and taking unnecessary risks. The company's excellent record with Workman's Compensation is a reflection of our high level of safety.

There are several reasons for our favorable risk factor. First, we exercise consistently good judgment in bidding work, negotiating contracts, and hiring responsible employees and subcontractors. During more than 75 years in business, Bernhard has never faulted on a project, has honored every bid submitted, and has always been able to bond a job. In fact, our bonding limits have never been challenged. Second, our sizable workforce allows us to quickly mobilize and move people around as needed to complete projects. And, third, we are a conservative contractor that places reputation above profit. Licensed to operate in Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi, Bernhard Mechanical stays current with the legal requirements in these three states, and any industry changes affecting licensure.
Bernhard has
been in business since 1919. We make business decisions our children will be
proud of because we know that one day this company could be their business,
too.
